Is it possible to make existing dimples deeper? I have dimples but would like for them to be deeper.

It is possible to make existing dimples deeper. The procedure is very similar to a regular dimple creation surgery, but the location of the dimple is placed right where your current dimple is already located.

I am interested in dimple surgery. Is this permanent or something that I would ever have to redo?

Dimple surgery is permanent. It is possible that the dimple might become slightly less deep with time as we age, but it should be permanent. Dimple creation surgery takes only a few minutes to perform. It will be a bit swollen and not 100% natural for several days. After this time, you might still have a dimple present even when you are not smiling. This phase lasts anywhere from several days to several weeks, after which the dimple should only be present when you are smiling or animating your face.

Dimple surgery: Risk of sutures coming undone: Is there a risk that the suture you use for dimple creation surgery can become undone and the dimple will go away?

Dimple surgery is permanent, although it can be reversed if needed. All the stitches are dissolvable, so there is no need to come back to have them taken out. Other than a little bit of soreness and mild swelling in the cheek, there is no need to worry about eating or drinking or brushing your teeth. Most of our dimple patients come in from out of town and only communicate with us via phone or email afterwards.
